Tokyo Bay Fortress Opened to Public
The Tour of Tokyo Bay Fortress has started. The No. 2 Sea Fort off the coast of Futtsu in Chiba Prefecture was opened to observers on 11th of May.
The ruin located 3.5 kilometers from Futtsu Cape on the West, along with the other two ridges were off-limit to general public, however, in the hope to use the facility as a tourism resource, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has lifted the ban allowing tour companies to conduct tours in the area.
While the blue sky set wide over Tokyo Bay on 11th of May, a group of 67 people who participated in the Hato Bus organized tour that started from Yokosuka City of Kanagawa Prefecture came on boat on a guided tour.
At present, four travel companies are scheduled to lead a total of 12 tours in May.
